Cub Scout Uniform

The Pack will provide:

• ​Patches:

  • Pack 283 numerals

  • Den number strip or Webelos "Patrol" patch

  • Northern Star Council patch (blue, curved patch)

  • World Crest patch (circular purple patch)

• Neckerchief specific to rank:

  • Kindergarten (Lion Neckerchief)

  • 1st Grade (Tiger Neckerchief)

  • 2nd Grade (Wolf Neckerchief)

  • 3rd Grade (Bear Neckerchief)

  • 4th and 5th Grades (Webelos Neckerchief).

Items to be purchased:

• Cub Scout shirt, short or long sleeved (This is the "Class A" uniform)

  • Lions, Tigers, Wolves, Bears, and Webelos (K-4th grades): Blue shirt

  • Arrow of Light (5th grades): Tan shirt

  (Helpful advice: buy big to avoid growing out too early. The blue uniform will be worn until at least the end of 3rd grade. The tan uniform continues with the child into a Scouts BSA troop. New scouts in the 4th grade and scouts that grow out of their blue uniform in 4th grade should transition to the tan uniform to prevent having to purchase additional blue for only a few months. )

• ​Neckerchief slide (try to label with your scout's name or initials, as they tend to "slide" off when the scout is active.

Optional items:

• Handbook (rank specific)

• ​Cub Scout pants/shorts

• Cap (rank specific)

• Belt (used to display adventure belt loops earned)

• Red patch vest (used to display event patches)

• Pack T-Shirt, Hoodie, and Pack cap: These items are your “Class B” uniform.
